It is a rich natural area in the Terai, the subtropical southern part of Nepal. A total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.
Check into your resort and enjoy in the evening a Tharu Cultural Dance. Here see the traditional dances of the Tharu people, including the awesome Stick Dance. A dance of warriors, it is done with incredible choreography. Visit the Elephant Breeding Centre after checking into your resort.
The next day enjoys a jeep safari as you look for rhinos, tigers, deer and more. The jeep ride lasts around one hour with a group joining basis. We avoid the elephant’s ride for animal rights. Later, take a journey down the Rapti River looking for crocodiles, water birds and more. The ride is done in a wooden canoe, made the traditional way of the Tharu people. Finish the journey back to your resort with a walk through the jungle. Your English speaking jungle guide knows and understands the jungle as he points out the flora and fauna of the Nepali jungle.
On the final day, enjoy breakfast before returning to Kathmandu via private vehicle.The jungles of Chitwan are some of the most popular destination places in all of Nepal.
