Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and airport pickup. Transfer to the hotel and rest after the journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2Fly Kathmandu – Lukla (2,800 m) | Trek to Phakding (2,640 m)

Early morning flight to Lukla (approx. 35 minutes). After meeting the trekking crew, begin trekking towards Phakding along the Dudh Koshi River. The walk covers approximately 8 km and takes 3–4 hours. In the evening, enjoy a short village walk around Phakding. Overnight at lodge.

Day 3Trek Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Trek through pine forests and cross several suspension bridges, entering Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo. After Jorsale, the trail climbs steeply to Namche Bazaar. The trekking distance is about 10–11 km, taking 6–7 hours. Overnight at lodge.

Day 4Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Rest and acclimatization day. Visit the Sherpa Museum and hike to Everest View Hotel (approx. 3,880 m) for panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Optional walks around Namche cover 4–6 km over 3–4 hours. Overnight at lodge.

Day 5Trek Namche Bazaar – Tengboche (3,860 m)

Trek through forests and along scenic trails with mountain views, descending to Phunki Tenga and climbing to Tengboche. The walk covers approximately 10–11 km and takes about 5–6 hours. Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery. Overnight at lodge.

Day 6 Trek Tengboche – Dingboche (4,410 m)

Descend through rhododendron forests to Deboche, cross the Imja Khola, and climb gradually to Dingboche. The trekking distance is around 11–12 km, taking 5–6 hours. Overnight at lodge.

Day 7 Acclimatization Day at Dingboche (4,410 m)

Day 8 Trek Dingboche – Lobuche (4,760 m)

Continue trekking higher through alpine terrain, passing memorials at Thukla Pass. The walk covers approximately 11–12 km and takes around 6 hours. Overnight at lodge in Lobuche.

Day 9 Trek Lobuche – Gorak Shep (5,140 m) | Visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m)

Trek to Gorak Shep and continue onward to Everest Base Camp via rocky glacial trails. Total distance for the day is approximately 12–13 km, with 6–7 hours of walking. Return to Gorak Shep for overnight stay at lodge.

Day 10 Kala Patthar (5,545 m) – Kongma La Pass (5,535 m) – Chhukung (4,730 m)

Early morning hike to Kala Patthar for sunrise views of Mount Everest. After descending, cross the high Kongma La Pass to reach Chhukung. This is a long and demanding day covering approximately 14–15 km, taking 7–8 hours. Overnight at lodge.

Day 11Trek Chhukung – Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 m)

Short trek to Island Peak Base Camp, covering about 4–5 km in 3–4 hours. In the afternoon, the climbing guide provides technical training on crampon use, rope techniques, belaying, and safety procedures. Overnight at Base Camp.

Day 12 Island Peak Summit (6,189 m) – Return to Chhukung

Early morning summit attempt of Island Peak. The total climbing and descent distance is approximately 10–12 km, taking 10–12 hours. Depending on weather and timing, descend to Chhukung or remain overnight at Base Camp. Overnight at lodge or tent.

Day 13 Trek Chhukung – Tengboche (3,860 m)

Descend through Pangboche and forest trails to Tengboche. The trekking distance is around 10–11 km, taking 5–6 hours. Overnight at lodge.

Day 14 Trek Tengboche – Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Descend to Phunki Tenga and climb back to Namche Bazaar through forested trails. The walk covers approximately 11–12 km and takes 6–7 hours. Overnight at lodge.

Day 15 Trek Namche Bazaar – Lukla (2,800 m)

Final trekking day back to Lukla. The distance is approximately 18–19 km, with 7–8 hours of walking. Overnight at lodge.

Day 16 Fly Lukla – Kathmandu

Early morning flight back to Kathmandu (approx. 35 minutes). Transfer to hotel or onward arrangements

Day 17Departure Day
